Children have a natural urge to move that needs to be encouraged. Nowadays, they spend far too much time in front of the screen, which also applies to teenagers. For many, playing sports is too time-consuming and costly, and the motivation to play sports at all dwindles. Street racket, on the other hand, requires no infrastructure, can be played anywhere and the cost of equipment is minimal.
Our concept has already been implemented in schools, sports clubs, refugee shelters (a new inclusion project in Switzerland) and camps, prisons and many other places around the world. Children and teenagers have more fun with movement and learn in combination with it. Also the well-being of people in difficult life situations improves.
The simple rules ensure long rallies, a sense of achievement and belonging. The game promotes motor skills, coordination and social skills. The playing fields can be designed with chalk, tape, etc., both outdoors and indoors.
Our vision is to make sport and exercise as accessible as possible for everyone, promoting gender equality, acceptance of religions and cultures, intergenerational communication and integration.
No expensive investments are required and no infrastructure is needed.
We work according to the train-the-trainer method. We have a free app with many games, teaching and practice books, online certifications and virtual content platforms.
Street Racket is a fast-growing global movement that spreads through various channels: Word of mouth, schools, social media, traditional media, sports federations and clubs, collaborations, famous ambassadors. The simplicity of our concept, and the fact that the game is made for anyone, anywhere, anytime, is generating worldwide interest.
Street Racket has already reached over 70 countries and moves thousands and thousands of people every day. We receive almost daily requests from all around the world for collaborations, webinars, workshops and interviews.
Our big goal is to help make the world a better place, a place full of playgrounds for our children and youths, the sooner the better. And Street Racket is predestined for this.
Get a racket (or something similar as a hitting device, also a school book, a cutting board...) and a ball! Draw your court in seconds and play! Just follow the two most important rules: no down playing and no volleying! Bring the healthy activity to your doorstep instead of having to travel somewhere and ensure zero waste, but pure fun.
