About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

Play well bricks4futures concept is grounded in the sense of care for and curiosity about interests, views & experiences of diverse learners, particularly of the BVI youth & adults, and is aimed to support and provide innovative learning methods and environments with arts and creative design for barrier-free access, inter- & cross-disciplinary engagement in sustainable development education.

What does your innovation look like in practice?

2-hour or all-day sessions, collaborative inquiry-based learning by somatic practices such as dance meditation, respiratory sessions, science experiments and Global Citizenship-activities, AI-&braille art, in a place with a good social and environmental atmosphere, by which imagination, play, co-creation & also stillness & leisure are included into engagement. Drawing upon Humanistic values, relational pedagogy, and inquiry-based learning philosophy, which forms the core value pillars for engaging and connecting the bricks4futures, teachers & students are attending and co-creating STEAM-sensorial sessions, research, debate, and presentations, which end with a reception. Practicing hospitality, exchanging critical views, but sharing visions and engaging in local, national, and global actions for SDGs, greening relational cultures 4now&then

1. pose your question or a statement related to your social & environmental climate & atmosphere
2. Create&construct your well-bricks with key terms related to well-being in your learning/teaching/working environment
3. Exchange with your colleagues_/students/parents, connect all creations and compose them all together within one common frame
4. dance&music: ensembling, moving
The second phase will include adaptive design and innovative solutions, brick-by-brick

Brick-by-Brick- process:
include diverse existing ideal (talents, interests, needs, knowledges) and material resources;
Make a list, collect, and connect all existing and missing /desired bricks ;
Set priorities together with your colleagues/students ..
Make a simple first test, start with simple adaptive design and cost-efficient solutions, use imagination and creativity to optimize social and environmental climate and the atmosphere, adapt, re-design, mix, create, re-create, dance together
