Are we going to keep watching statistics and reports about the climate issues, or can we turn this awareness into action?
I started this reflection from a small rural village, where most discussions in my community showed the climate change crisis either as a media sensation or as an inevitable fate that could not be changed. Social media campaigns kept stressing the importance of creating awareness on climate issues. But I realized there is a gap between knowledge and action, a failure to translate alarming climate data into ideas, responsibility, and initiative. Because if people understand the data but don’t know how to act, then statistics remain just numbers.
This realization is what led me to found GreenAura when I was just 15 years old, to prove that where we come from does not determine what we will achieve, and to challenge the mindset with which most people in my community grow up. I believe that change always begins with a small step and is not limited to a specific age or place.
We run several core initiatives. GreenBridge Exchange Program connects youth internationally to explore sustainable practices and co-create impact-driven climate projects through cultural and environmental exchange. GreenSprint is a short entrepreneurship sprint where participants develop and pitch scalable green business ideas within a few days. GreenHer empowers young women to lead climate action, launch local initiatives, and access global mentorship. GreenLab Juniors engages high school students in STEM and research to solve local environmental challenges through science and innovation. Tech4Earth is a hackathon where young innovators build climate-tech solutions using AI, IoT, and sustainable design thinking. EcoVerse Summit & Challenge combines climate education, entrepreneurship, and competition for green startups, supported by mini-summits led by ambassadors in different cities.
GreenAura has been spreading through a decentralized, youth-led model driven by regional branches, school and university clubs, and a global network of ambassadors who implement and expand its programs locally. It also grows through online and offline delivery, enabling access across different countries. This combination of youth leadership, community expansion, and digital reach has allowed GreenAura to scale organically while maintaining consistent impact.
