Bullying is a growing problem. The Anti-Bullying programs have been too focused on fixing problems instead of building a culture of compassion and empathy. We know that empathy and compassion comes from feeling safe and loved, plus adults who respond to children's emotional needs. We need to involve the "team" around the children to create a better future.
We have digital platforms with content to build social and emotional skills, available for kindergartens and primary schools – involving parents, professionals and children towards resilience, awareness and knowledge about universal human needs and quality of life. We now also offer a free parent app, available on App Store and Google Play, so families can engage with Gleding content directly at home. We inspire educators to create pro-social activities with children. We also create and use physical tools like books, prints and calendars, as well as courses and workshops for parents and professionals.
The feedback we get on the impact our stories have in homes, schools and nurseries are our main achievement. We have reached about 1,000 schools and kindergartens, spoken for more than 200,000 children, parents and educators, and sold more than 60,000 books. In 2025 we launched the Gleding app – a free app for parents available on App Store and Google Play – making Gleding accessible to families directly, beyond the school and kindergarten setting. We are now active in Norway and England, and are working on translating our books and tools into sign language and English to reach even more children and families worldwide.
A good place to start is by reading the books – for the full experience, visit gleding.com and sign up for our newsletter. You can also download our free Gleding app on App Store or Google Play. If you would like access to our digital platform for kindergartens and schools, please reach out to daily manager Emma Ingebrigtsen at emma@gleding.com or founder and empathy trainer Siri Abrahamsen at siri@gleding.com – we would love to hear from you!
