AIdeaText

visualizes the hidden structure of thinking

AIdeaText is a learning AI platform that transforms how students and teachers engage with writing. Unlike grammar checkers or generative AI, it visualizes the hidden structure of thinking in texts through interactive linguistic analysis.

Target group
We need more reflection on the part of students and teachers, more time to teach and learn, and a pause to reflect, reflect, and philosophize about what we do and don't do with digital technologies in educational settings. We need to return to teaching the old way, but with the technology of today.

About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

We need new, radically different and entirely different ways of teaching and learning, as we write, read, and argue, as new formats and media provide diverse, distinct, and different sources for our communication.

What does your innovation look like in practice?

[1] Analysis: The tool breaks down writing into morphosyntactic structures, semantic networks, and discourse patterns
using NLP models (e.g., spaCy, Transformers).

[2] Visualization: It generates dynamic diagrams (e.g., arc diagrams for syntax, network graphs for ideas) to show strengths/gaps in critical thinking.

[3] Guidance: Instead of correcting errors, teachers can pose questions such as, “How might these ideas be connected?” and offer students the opportunity to reflect on their writing.

How has it been spreading?

We participate in events such as:

Implementation steps

Identify Needs
After reviewing student work (essays, reports, etc.), note recurring issues in:
✓ Argument structure
✓ Clarity of ideas
✓ Reading comprehension gaps
Assign AIdeaText Practice
Option A: Recommend as supplemental practice (e.g., "Complete 2 AIdeaText analyses before your next draft") Option B: Integrate into revisions (e.g., "Use your AIdeaText report to improve Section 3 of your paper")
Monitor Progress
Review student-generated Semantic Maps and Pattern Reports to:
✓ Spot class-wide trends
✓ Tailor in-class writing guidance
