We’re thrilled to announce we will be attending NY Edtech Week 2017! Join us on Wednesday December 20th, when we’ll be hosting a free Open Lab workshop with Linda Liukas from Hello Ruby - My First Computer: Creativity & Computing in K-5 education.
NY Edtech week celebrates entrepreneurship, innovation and edtech at the forefront of educational advancement. The festival brings together more than 200 education thought leaders and over 1,000 attendees from across the globe, as well as hundreds of edtech companies and education investors. Let’s just say; we’re more than excited to be there!
We’ll be exploring how to bring creative, unplugged technology education to the elementary classroom using innovations like the renowned Hello Ruby method, a whimsical, artistic approach to coding and one of our 100 Inspiring Global Innovations 2017.
Not only will you learn an innovative approach to early computing education, but if you are an NY State Educator you can even earn professional development credits by attending the session! Interested? Get more information and register, here.
Not based in New York but want to find out more about Hello Ruby's creative approach to teaching coding? Check out our interview with the creators of Hello Ruby, head over to their innovation page or watch creator Linda Liukas' speech at the HundrED Summit earlier this year below.
We can’t wait to see some of you there!
