I created this innovation to empower young people in Mexico to face their financial future with confidence, not fear. Every day, I see how many adults struggle with money not because they’re irresponsible, but because they were never taught how to manage it. In Mexico, our education system doesn’t prepare us for real-life financial decisions, and that needs to change.
Finalmente Finanzas is a dynamic after-school program that teaches high school students in Mexico real-world money skills through storytelling, role-play, games, and simulations. Each class covers essential topics like budgeting, taxes, credit, and investing in a way that's practical, engaging, and youth-centered.
The program began as a pilot in my own school, where it received enthusiastic feedback from both students and teachers. Encouraged by the results, I began reaching out to other schools, and eventually a college opened its doors for me to teach there as well. I’m currently working on expanding the project to reach more young people, and I truly believe it has the potential to positively impact many lives.
