There have been significant challenges in the country's educational sector, which must be overcome to achieve better and quality education, especially for children from less privileged backgrounds, hard-to-reach areas, adolescent girls, and those in areas facing natural disasters and instability. We created Yaaka to meet the education quality & access deficit in Uganda.

Yaaka Digital Network (site) enables students and teachers to run interactive classes, provide, share, buy, sell, and trade academic materials on mobile online, and offline.
We employ creative multimedia content development and delivery and offer functional learning management. Facilitators on the platform schedule and conduct live classes through any videoconferencing tool available. Basing on the specific personal learning needs of the learner, a class is conducted, like any normal class, but online.
Also, the content is in multimedia format that is text, pictures, audio, video, and graphics and can be accessed on any gadget both online and offline for teachers and students to input and access learning material at their convenience.
The real winner is interactive content and assessments which greatly aid comprehension & revision
Since its launch in 2014, we've helped 50,000 users access learning materials they want to access when they want to, without charging them. Over the past 1-2 years, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown, the platform helped over 1,500 learners from Pre-Primary to Advanced Level across the country access live classes, online free of charge.
More learners are signing up for free accounts on the platform, to access interactive learning materials, or live classes.
The Vision is to power digital teaching and learning online and offline through direct services and serving other education institutions.
We also plan to have fully-fledged campuses where both students and teachers can be trained for a specified period of time to access all the services in one place.
