About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

ThinkNeuro was founded to help high school and undergraduate students conduct and present undergraduate-level research in neuroscience and computer science.

What does your innovation look like in practice?

ThinkNeuro works with students for ten weeks, offering mentorship from faculty, physicians, and engineers from Harvard Engineering, Stanford Medicine, OpenAI, and more. Students leave the internship program with a graduate-level research abstract, oral presentation, and research poster prepared for conference submission.

How has it been spreading?

ThinkNeuro has grown rapidly, attracting applications from students in dozens of countries and awarding over $200,000 in financial aid to make our program accessible to top talent worldwide. We’re proud to be expanding access to world-class research opportunities for high school students and remain committed to our mission of empowering the next generation of innovators and scholars.

How have you modified or added to your innovation?

We continuously refine our program to better support our students. adapting to emerging research trends across diverse fields, expanding resources and mentorship opportunities, and tracking outcomes such as elite college admissions, which is a key goal for many participants. Our commitment to improvement ensures that ThinkNeuro remains at the forefront of high school research education.
