In our 16 years in the industry, we saw that Science/Engineering students of colleges/tertiary institutions in Nigeria/Africa lack practical skills in personal care and specialty chemical products formulation and production which created skills gap in the industry. SkillPul is trying to close the skills gap and encourage start-ups in the industry to create employment and sustainable productivity
SkillPul uses website access to pre-recorded practical tutorial videos or live tutorial videos on products’ batch formulations procedures, raw materials functions, selections and practical pilot productions.
Then access to online downloadable products production procedural manuals for each product,
And finally, online platform for follow-up and mentorship to ensure an effective do-it-yourself practice and scale-up production.
Students log in to SkillPul training website, https://www.skillpul.com, select the products they need, register details, make the online payment via Paystack, then have 30 days online access to SkillPul pre-recorded practical tutorial videos on practical batch formulations/pilot productions and SkillPul downloadable products production procedural manuals for each product within which the students can get their raw materials and simple production equipment to join the online platform group (WhatsApp, Zoom, etc) for follow-up do-it-yourself practical production.
1. We have trained over 2,000 students from Nigeria, Botswana, Kenya, Zimbabwe and Bahamas and our students have increased by 80%.
2. In our blended learning, we have trained 25 interns from 10 Nigerian tertiary institutions.
3. We concluded online training for Mr MARK ARODI, NAIROBI-KENYA (a Chemical Engineering student of Technical University of Kenya), from Botswana; Ms Kgomotso Sedimo, Mr.George Seakarea, Ms Kabelo Monicah, Ms Tawangwa Samu Kanye, etc.
In the next 2-3 years;
* We want to train one million students in African colleges/tertiary institutions
* To form partnerships with Coursera, Udemy, etc and other national trainers, governments and regional technical and vocational skills agencies.
* To build human resource and material capacity to match the growth.
