See Think Wonder Challenge

You don’t have to be great to start. You have to start to be great.

Young people aspire to make positive change but often lack practical tools to take action. Our innovation integrates See Think Wonder, a Harvard Project Zero thinking routine, into challenges and workshops. About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

Chairwoman Maggie observed that while youth have the ambition to contribute positively, they often lack the tools to turn ideas into action. By integrating See Think Wonder, a Harvard Project Zero routine, we demystify complex concepts and make them accessible across cultures, equipping students with critical thinking skills to become proactive "Game Changers" driving positive change globally.

What does your innovation look like in practice?

Our innovation, the See Think Wonder Challenge, is a two-phase program designed to develop critical thinking in students. In the Thinking Exploration phase, students learn the See Think Wonder thinking routine from Harvard Project Zero, enabling them to observe, analyze, and question different situations. In the Problem Application phase, they apply these skills to SDG-aligned challenges using STW thinking routine in hackathons, co-organized with global corporations like IKEA, Carrefour, 7-ELEVEN, KFC, Pizza Hut, and FamilyMart.

By addressing stakeholder needs, students develop actionable solutions while strengthening their critical thinking. Each year, we conduct surveys to assess learning outcomes, and since 2022, over 5,800 students from Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore have participated, with 90% reporting improved critical thinking and 92% stating they will continue applying STW in the future. This demonstrates the program’s effectiveness in fostering long-term skills development.

How has it been spreading?

Over the past two years, the See Think Wonder Challenge has expanded from Taiwan to Singapore and Hong Kong, with over 1,500 students participating each year, engaging over 5,000 students and fostering critical thinking on a global scale. Through partnerships with companies like 7-ELEVEN and IKEA, students tackle real-world challenges, enhancing personal growth and career exploration. The collaboration with Harvard Project Zero, led by Dr. Flossie Chua, further strengthens its educational foundation.

In the next 2-3 years, we aim to deepen our presence globally, while scale internationally with online learning materials, including a teacher lesson plans, school-based training program, Seed Teacher program, and digital learning library.
