Saturday Hero Quest: The Dreamscape Initiative

Building global student resilience through gameful arts and visual leadership ecosystems.

In collaboration with Keith Wakeman (SuperBetter) and Dr. Dorothy Neddermeyer, we solve student disengagement by transforming curriculum into a "Hero Quest." At Stellbridge International School, we utilize visual arts and gamification to build resilience. Our "Dreamscape" model scales this into a global tourism hub, turning natural landscapes into centers for art-based therapy and leadership.

My goal is to shift the global education paradigm from passive consumption to active, gameful leadership. Through the Saturday Hero Quest, I hope to see: Resilience as a Core Subject: I envision a world where "Social and Emotional Learning" isn't just a buzzword, but a lived experience where students use gameful mechanics to turn obstacles into opportunities. Classrooms as Innovation Hubs: I want to see schools—starting in Nigeria and scaling to the UK and US—transformed into "Dreamscapes." These are environments where visual arts and artistic crafts are the primary languages used to solve complex real-world problems. The "CEO" Student: My dream is for every child to see themselves as the CEO of their own life. By using visual leadership tools, students will document their growth and build a professional brand before they even graduate. Global Collaboration: I wish to see a borderless exchange of educational excellence, where the resilience strategies we develop in Benin City are utilized by prestigious institutions worldwide to combat student burnout and disengagement. Ultimately, I am building a future where education is an irresistible adventure that empowers every child to discover their heroic potential through creativity and grit.

About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

I created this innovation to bridge the gap between traditional academic learning and the psychological resilience needed for future leadership. Observing the disconnect and disengagement in standard educational settings, I sought to build a framework where students don't just "study" but embark on a "Hero Quest." By integrating the gameful mechanics of SuperBetter with visual arts, I wanted to provide a toolkit for students to master their emotions and lead with creativity. My vision is to turn every classroom into a sanctuary of growth and every student into a resilient leader.

What does your innovation look like in practice?

In practice, this looks like the Saturday Hero Quest. Students at Stellbridge International School engage in "Heroic Acts" where they use artistic crafts to visualize leadership concepts. It’s a multi-sensory experience: we use visual art grids to track progress, interactive "missions" that build social skills, and gameful challenges that turn school hurdles into winnable quests. It transforms the physical environment—like our school "HQ"—into a dynamic space where learning is an adventure, not a chore.

How has it been spreading?

The innovation began as a focused pilot at Stellbridge International School in early 2026. It has gained rapid traction through a strategic digital presence on Twitter and Quora, catching the attention of global experts like Keith Wakeman (CEO of SuperBetter). We utilize high-energy video content and social media storytelling to showcase real-time student transformations. This synergy has moved the project from a local classroom idea toward a scalable model attracting interest from international educational collaborators.

How have you modified or added to your innovation?

We have evolved the model by integrating a "Global CEO" mindset into the student curriculum. A major addition is the "Dreamscape" ecosystem, which plans to move beyond the classroom into natural landscapes, using tourism and environmental art as leadership training tools. We’ve also enhanced the methodology by incorporating professional-grade visual storytelling (such as film-making and visual art grids) to help students "document" their own resilience journeys.

If I want to try it, what should I do?

Start by adopting the "Hero Quest" mindset: identify a challenge as a "Quest" and use visual arts to map out the "Power-Ups" (strengths) needed to overcome it. You can follow our journey at Stellbridge International or connect with us via Layering Expressions. We are open to schools worldwide—especially in the UK and US—who want to pilot our "Saturday Hero Quest" framework. Reach out for our standard operating pilot plan to begin transforming your school into a Heroic landscape.

Implementation steps

The Call to Adventure: Onboarding Heroes
Identify a core group of 'Heroes' (students) and introduce the 'Quest' mindset. This initial phase transforms the classroom into a dynamic mission-control center where students take ownership of their personal and academic growth.
Visualizing Progress: The Hero Grid
Students utilize 'Layering Expressions' artistic crafts to physically design their personal progress grids. This visual mapping allows students to see their resilience growth in real-time.
Activating Power-Ups (Resilience Skills)
Using the SuperBetter framework, students identify specific strengths—like grit or social connection—needed for their current school missions. We call these 'Power-Ups' to make skill-building feel like a game.
The Saturday Hero Quest Execution
Conduct high-energy sessions where students tackle real-world challenges through teamwork. These 'Quests' turn theoretical leadership into practical, lived experience.
Global CEO Branding & Documentation
Students document their victories using film and visual storytelling. This creates a professional 'Hero Brand' for each student, making their learning visible to the global community.
