To provide educational platform in Arabic langauge for teachers in this region
To provide easy access for teachers looking for resources or who would like to share their resources with other teachers.
The project was generated, planned, executed by two TFQ female fellows, Kamar Yagan and Noura Al-Khoury. Their project aimed at the designing and launching of an educational platform named Qomra which contains many educational resources in Arabic language for the benefit of teachers, students, and parents in this region of the world. The project does not focus only on educational resources but also includes resources that support students’ values, mindset, and positive reinforcement of good behavior. What is special about this platform is any teacher can simply make a free account and then they can upload and share their own resources with other teacher. These resources include but are not exclusive to PowerPoint templates, educational games, interactive activities, etc. The platform also includes useful links to other sites and YouTube channels that provide educational content in the Arabic language
The project was lauched and teachers in two schools were introduced to the platform to use the resources and try to publish other resources. Now almost 72 teachers has access to it and the project is still under continous developments to increase the number of teacher who can use it and have access to it.
Check the needs of the teacher at your school and other schools in the area
Find the required resources (activities, worksheets, learning application, instructions, etc)
Find someone or a company that will set up the platform
Decided on the design and make sure it is user-friendly
Start uploading resources
Make a pilot test with handful people to check if it is working
Then,start marketing for it
