Your first satellite

Papersat is a satellite made of paper and plastic, with the goal of inspiring people to think bigger and encouraging innovation in space technology. The project aims to create a better learning environment and pave the way for a brighter future. While the use of paper and plastic in a satellite may seem unconventional, the idea behind Papersat is to inspire creativity and new thinking.

Papersat's vision is to have hands-on satellite education in all schools and institutions throughout the world. The logic is that if you learn how to build a satellite, you can build anything.

About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

We want to inspire students to learn satellite. At an early age, anyone is beginning something they want so, we want to encourage the kids to begin with satellite. Every child is curious about anything in their childhood. Kids learn from the environment where they live, so making this toy makes kids learn about satellites from the basics of their living.

What does your innovation look like in practice?

It is a blocks-joining game consisting of joints and paper blocks. The student will get a complete part of the 1U satellite(Nano Satellite) and can join all the disassembled parts which will result in a structured model (made of paper and plastic) of the 1U satellite. In making a satellite from blocks and joints, the child will learn about satellite structure and its importance. The child will also learn different skills I.e. Hand and Eye coordination, Hand control, Painting, etc. The structure contains paper parts that be painted as they want.

How has it been spreading?

We have successfully completed two of our art competitions with different schools with structural models of Papersat.
