In Latin America, a critical feedback gap undermines educational quality. While teacher performance is the single most influential factor in student learning, only 2% of teachers in the region receive consistent, high-quality pedagogical coaching. Traditional professional development relies on manual, in-person observations that are logistically impossible to scale and financially unsustainable for most institutions.
This creates a systemic black box: school leaders are overwhelmed by administrative tasks and have zero real-time visibility into classroom interactions. Without data-driven support, teaching practices remain stagnant, and educators lack the tools to adapt to modern demands. This challenge is global, as schools everywhere face teacher burnout, high turnover, and the prohibitive costs of specialized coaching.
We created Muyu to democratize professional development. By automating what human observers cannot do at scale, we transform the classroom into a source of actionable data. Our goal is to ensure that 100% of staff — not just a privileged few — receive the personalized support they need to improve student outcomes in a scalable, privacy-conscious, and cost-effective way.
Muyu digitizes and scales pedagogical coaching through a seamless four-step process designed to eliminate friction and build sustainable habits:
Classroom Capture: Teachers record their lessons using only audio via their smartphones. This audio-only approach eliminates the legal, ethical, and psychological barriers often associated with video recording in schools.
AI Analysis: Our proprietary models transcribe and analyze the session based on proven pedagogical methodologies, identifying specific patterns in teacher-student interactions that are often invisible to the naked eye.
The "Muyu" Feedback: To prevent information overload, the AI delivers one "Muyu" per week — a bite-sized, actionable technique the teacher can implement in their next class. Professional growth becomes a manageable weekly habit, not a sporadic overwhelming event.
Institutional Dashboard: While teachers receive private coaching, school leaders gain access to an anonymized dashboard with real-time metrics and automated reports across the entire faculty.
By automating the observation cycle that humans cannot perform manually, Muyu ensures personalized support reaches every teacher simultaneously, transforming every classroom into a source of continuous, measurable improvement.
Muyu Education is currently in the consolidation stage, featuring proven operational stability. Our AI-driven ecosystem has successfully moved beyond early validation to become a highly scalable regional solution.
Key achievements to date include:
International Recognition: Winner of the GESAwards LATAM, positioning Muyu as one of the most innovative EdTechs in the region.
Scientific Validation: Presented a research paper at the IFE Conference (Tec de Monterrey) and was exclusively invited to their IFE Launch accelerator.
Institutional Support: Awarded by Startup-Chile and the "Efecto Colectivo" fund, enabling the development of our intellectual property and international expansion.
Strategic Positioning: Featured speakers at the Universidad Católica de Chile Summit, consolidating alliances with major educational leaders in the continent.
Regional Expansion: Selected for the Volcano Summit in Guatemala (September 2026), one of Central America's leading entrepreneurship forums, and currently participating in the +EDU acceleration program at UPC in Peru — deepening our presence across Latin America's key education markets.
We underwent a strategic pivot to transition from a service-oriented model to a scalable technology product. Originally, Muyu operated through Muyu LAB, a high-touch consulting model focused on intensive teacher coaching and manual implementation support. While essential to validate our methodology and build institutional credibility, we identified that human-dependent consulting limited our ability to scale efficiently.
We developed Muyu App, a lightweight, AI-driven SaaS solution. This pivot allows us to deliver continuous, automated feedback without requiring intensive human intervention, resulting in faster sales cycles, lower implementation friction, and a significantly reduced cost per teacher.
Looking ahead, our 12–24 month roadmap deepens this evolution: implementing high-precision pedagogical analysis models, launching API integrations with Zoom, Teams, and Google Meet for hybrid classrooms, and deploying a gamification system to sustain teacher engagement and longitudinal growth. The pivot from LAB to App was the foundation — the roadmap is what scales it globally.
Schools and educational leaders can get started by visiting muyueducation.com and clicking "Start Free Trial" to book a 30-minute onboarding call with our team. During this session we assess the institution's pedagogical goals, set up their account, and guide teachers through downloading the app — the full process takes under 48 hours.
Muyu is designed for rapid deployment: no hardware, no classroom disruption, no specialized training required. A teacher with a smartphone can complete their first session on day one.
For institutions outside Ecuador and Chile, we are actively expanding into Peru and Mexico, and welcome pilot partnerships with networks and foundations looking to bring evidence-based coaching to their teachers at scale.
