The motivation to create such a platform was to increase access to quality education, promote social inclusion, and enable people living with various disabilities a chance to live independently with the scope to increase their standard of living. The e-learning platform brought the training process online, saving the TCV (Time, Cost, and Visit) and empowering citizens within a short time.
In MuktoPaath, starters interested in learning new skills need to register themselves and can participate in any course. The courses range from technical, agricultural, vocational to conventional topics which are mostly available free-of-charge and cater to people of different socioeconomic backgrounds. After completion of the course, learners will participate in an online quiz and upon successfully passing the assessment they will be awarded with certifications accredited by the relevant governing institutions, NGOs, and ministries etc. This will enable them to jump start their career and minimise their costs for receiving any external training.
It has shaped public policy as policymakers have a new perspective regarding the field of education by introducing new concepts in mainstream like blended education. This allowed citizens across the country to feel more valued and engaged to participate while using such an interactive and affordable platform. MuktoPaath had achieved recognition for their work in the ICT sector: in 2018 by winning the ‘World Summit on Information Society (WSIS) Prize’, The Press Institute Bangladesh (PIB) with the ‘Sohel Samad Memorial Award’ for their creative innovation in the field of media, Bangladesh Innovation Award in the Public Service Innovation- Citizen co-creation in 2021 and 2022.
