My own daughter had a psycho-educational evaluation. The process was long, expensive and emotionally exhausting and yet it was the most valuable test she ever had. Every student benefits from having objective data on their learning strengths and needs and we set out to ensure that this data would be available for every student and the adults who care about their learning.
Every student takes a one hour, online, group administered assessment. Results are then triangulated with your school's choice of achievement data to provide a comprehensive picture of the whole child. Teachers then participate in monthly professional learning sessions so they learn how to use this data to address trends in whole class data, differentiate instruction, and provide individual student support as needed. A supplementary asynchronous SEL curriculum is available for secondary students to develop self-awareness, self-management and self-efficacy skills.
We are in over 200 schools worldwide and have a partnership with NWEA, the leading K12 assessment partner in the US to integrate our academic and cognitive data. Our clients help us grow by telling colleagues how we are changing teachers' perspectives and improving outcomes by providing a scalable approach to embedding science of learning best practices in classrooms around the world. We were awarded a National Science Foundation grant in August 2020. MindPrint's cognitive screener was shown to predict over 50% of the variability in outcomes for middle school math students. By triangulating with our SELfe Screener, we were able to increase to 60+% of outcomes and enable teachers to address the now understandable variability in their classrooms.
