We want to see teacher development that’s real, relevant, and rooted in connection. Our hope is that every teacher, regardless of where they teach feels confident, supported, and equipped to create emotionally safe, future-ready classrooms where every child can thrive.

About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

We created Keller Education because teachers are often given outdated, uninspiring training that doesn’t meet the realities of today’s classroom. We saw a need for professional development that’s practical, emotionally intelligent, and rooted in real science. If we want children to thrive, we need to start by equipping the adults who guide them every day.

What does your innovation look like in practice?

In practice, Keller Education offers a blend of live webinars, self-paced short courses, gamified growth paths, and downloadable tools, all designed to fit into a teacher’s real-world schedule. Schools subscribe to our Partner Programme, which tailors development to their context and provides access to themes like emotional intelligence, AI in the classroom, classroom management, and wellbeing.

Our approach is grounded in neuroscience and always puts relationships at the centre. Teachers get access to professional development that’s not just theoretical, but usable in their classroom the next day. We make learning feel achievable, even joyful.

How has it been spreading?

Keller Education has grown through strong word of mouth, principal referrals, and trusted partnerships across South Africa. Our retention rate sits above 90%, and many schools increase their level of engagement each year.

We’ve also expanded into lower-quintile schools by working with corporate partners who fund infrastructure and training through CSI programmes. Our network of local champions and retired school leaders helps embed the work sustainably in communities.

More recently, short courses have opened doors into new regions and allowed us to support more teachers, faster. As our visibility grows, so does our reach and we’re now exploring expansion into other African countries through aligned partners.

If I want to try it, what should I do?

Visit www.keller.education or email home@keller.education to explore our programmes, join a free webinar, or connect with our team. Whether you’re a teacher, school leader, or partner, we’ll help you find the right fit for your context, no matter your school’s size, location, or budget.

Set boundaries like you set weekend plans...strategically! Remember, great leadership means balancing availability with empowerment. Let's build cultures where everyone can thrive and lead.
Are your students passengers or drivers in their learning? Use the Engagement Thermometer to turn up the heat! When students set goals, ask questions, and tackle real problems, achievement skyrockets. This week, boost curiosity, challenge thinking, and watch your class thrive through deeper, active learning.
Rocking isn’t a distraction, it’s the brain’s gateway to focus! From calming babies to helping students think, rocking activates the vestibular system, boosting focus, memory, and calm. Instead of telling kids to ‘sit still’, let’s harness their natural rhythm to support deeper learning and engagement. Rock on, classroom learners!
Are we trapping our students in a flea jar? Like fleas that stop jumping when a lid is placed on their jar, students can lose their drive when learning is boxed into fixed grades and ‘right’ answers. Let’s remove the lid. Struggle means learning. Mistakes show growth. Real success comes from students who keep jumping—even when it’s hard.
Rewire the Brain: Teach Emotional Literacy! Did you know that naming an emotion is the first step in controlling it? Instead of just MAD, SAD or BAD, help students develop emotional literacy by giving their feelings specific names. Why? Because words shape our response. The brain can’t engage in deep thinking if emotions are running wild. But when students learn to recognise, name and understand
Success Criteria: The Roadmap to Student Achievement Do your students know what success looks like? Co-creating Success Criteria with your class provides them with a clear roadmap to achieve their learning goals. Research shows that when learners understand their objectives and how to reach them, their performance soars. Start each lesson by discussing what mastery looks like. Use examples, mo

Implementation steps

Website Access & Onboarding
Each school receives a welcome email and a 30-minute live walkthrough of the platform to help teachers and leaders get familiar with the tools, workbooks, and resources available.
Baseline Assessment (Diagnostic 1)
All educators complete a short baseline diagnostic to help us understand their starting point. This allows us to track impact and tailor content based on real needs.
Live Online Training (Quarterly)
Teachers join one of our themed (a choice of 6 themes per year), high-energy webinars (4 sessions per year), designed to introduce core ideas like classroom belonging, brain-based learning, emotional regulation, or collaboration.
Resource Access & Practical Implementation
Teachers begin using simple, ready-to-go classroom activities from our workbooks, posters, and tools all available on their profile. These are grounded in neuroscience, built for local contexts, and flexible enough for any classroom.
Ongoing Support & Tracking
Our Client Success Team make use of efficient communication systems to always be 'one call away' to ensure their success in the Programme. Schools also gain access to optional community groups (like the Teacher Education Network), where teachers share wins, ideas, and questions.
Impact Reflection (Diagnostic 2)
Later in the term or year, educators complete a second diagnostic to reflect on what’s changed, both in practice and mindset.
Goal Setting for What’s Next
Schools reflect on growth and choose their next learning path or theme, aligned with their unique context and teacher development goals. Everything we offer is designed to work with a school’s rhythm, not against it. Our goal is to help teachers feel confident, capable, and connected… and for that change to ripple through every classroom.
