We created this project because we believe every child’s voice matters when it comes to human rights and equality. We want kids from all over the world to share their stories about why treating everyone fairly is so important. By listening to each other, we can learn how to make our communities better and kinder places. Our goal is to help everyone understand that no matter where you come from or what you look like, you deserve to be treated equally and with respect. When we work together, we can spread awareness and make a big difference in the world. Join us and use your voice to help create a future where everyone’s rights are protected and everyone is treated fairly!
Our innovation in practice is a global storytelling project where children from different countries come together to share their experiences and ideas about human rights and equality. At Georgia European School, we started by taking action in our community to raise awareness about treating everyone fairly. Now, we invite kids everywhere to join us by telling their own stories about human rights. This helps us learn from each other and build a worldwide community focused on respect and justice. Through sharing stories, we spread important messages about equality and inspire others to take action. By using our voices together, we create a stronger impact that helps protect everyone’s rights and makes the world a better place for all.
We started spreading our innovation in our community by first doing a survey to learn more about how people see human rights and equality. We collected and analyzed the data carefully to understand the situation better. We also interviewed the school’s Human Resources team to find out how equal human rights are practiced at our school. After that, we did a special experiment with students by playing a Uno game where cards were given unequally based on random features like eye color. This helped students feel what it’s like to be treated unfairly. Through this game, they began to understand why equality matters and started thinking about how they treat others in their daily lives. This hands-on experience helped spread awareness and made the idea of human rights real and meaningful for everyone involved.
If you want to try this project, start by learning about how human rights and equality are seen in your own community. You can create a survey to ask people their thoughts and collect the answers to understand the situation better. Try talking to your school’s staff or leaders to see how equal rights are practiced where you learn. Then, organize a fun activity like the Uno game we did, where players get cards unequally based on random features like eye color. This will help everyone feel what it’s like to be treated unfairly and start thinking about fairness. After the game, encourage students to share their feelings and talk about how to treat others with respect every day. By doing these steps, you can spread awareness about human rights and equality, just like we did in our community, and help make a positive impact where you live!
