- Built on 7.5 years of primary and secondary research, Freadom is an adaptive mobile reading app that helps children learn to read in English by instilling a daily reading habit. It provides parents and teachers curated and levelised stories, activities, quizzes and daily positive news to enjoy with the child
- It first locates the users' reading level and then navigates them to the desired level, basis a proprietary reading scale developed by Stones2Milestones. The aim is to encourage family bonding over time spent reading together from an early age, which studies have found to be the most effective way of nurturing a lifelong reading habit
- We use an AI ready recommendation engine to match users to the most relevant content. Detailed data collection allows us to share regular traction reports for all content on Freadom and customise content for users
- User profile metrics, a Leaderboard and monthly reports sent to schools help track and celebrate the child's progress.
- The organisation is in research partnership for impact evaluation with the Human Centered AI division at Stanford University and IIM Calcutta
- Freadom goes out to parents of ~70,000 students across the country
- Content partners associated with Freadom include leading book publishers like Harper Collins, Penguin Random House, Champak, Worldreader, Pratham, Book Dash, African Storybook, BookBox, Bookosmia, Kalpavriksh, BaalGatha and many more
- Freadom was featured on Apple App Store as 'Apps we Love', won first prize at GMC Calibrator for EdTech startups in December, 2018, was awarded Best Startup-Innovation by CL Educate in January, 2019, and deemed ‘Best Technological Solution for Early Childhood Education’ by EdTechReview in February, 2019
