Because language learning often remains theoretical. I developed this innovation to provide a more effective and engaging solution where students can actually use the language while simultaneously improving their general knowledge.
Innovation is implemented as a 60-question multilingual card game. Students answer the questions in five different languages, actively and enjoyably developing both their language skills and general knowledge. The cards are color-coded by difficulty: green for easy, blue for medium, and red for hard.
Thanks to its simple, low-cost, and easy-to-implement design, my innovation can spread rapidly. Its gamified experience creates natural interest among students and teachers, allowing it to be easily adapted to different environments.
A set of cards includes a main question in English, along with the same question translated into German, French, Spanish, and Turkish. Groups of two or more people who know these languages come together and start a timer to answer the questions. Afterward, they discuss their answers as a group. They also review which categories they answered correctly or incorrectly more often and reflect on their performance and reasoning.
