As a teacher in both public and private school systems (and a mum of 4), I experienced a lack of learning tools that were research-based, easy to use, and genuinely effective. Frustrated by this gap, I began exploring solutions. In my work as an education journalist, I interviewed education experts, professors, and teachers—and discovered a shared desire for the same thing: a tool that provides individualised learning strategies for students and teachers: interactive, gamified, and focused on the learning process and reflection rather than memorisation.
When COVID-19 hit, millions of parents and teachers suddenly realized that students lacked the skills to organize their learning—or even understand how to learn effectively. My idea quickly became a widespread need.
Today, with schools facing major challenges—shortages of experienced teachers, rapid digitalization, the rise of AI, and growing mental health concerns—the need is more urgent than ever. Students from diverse backgrounds often struggle with basic learning skills, and the lack of effective strategies only deepens the gap.
I created enduri to close that gap. It supports students in mastering how to learn—and gives teachers practical, time-saving tools to coach them along the way.
Students start by creating a personal Learner ID that captures their strengths, needs, and learning preferences. The first question isn’t “What do you know?” but “What do you need to perform at your best?” Based on their profile, students choose strategies – including dedicated tools for visual, auditory, or hands-on learners. It’s especially powerful for neurodiverse learners, helping them feel seen and supported from the start. Access is quick and easy via a one-time login code provided by the teacher.
Through short clips, visual prompts, and gamified tasks, they build core learning skills like focus, planning, and self-reflection. The platform promotes key 21st-century skills: creativity, critical thinking, communication, and cooperation. Learning with and from peers is key. Teachers can be contacted directly via a chatbox. One smart question counts more than thirty copy-pasted answers. Motivation tools like avatars and progress walls keep students engaged. enduRo, the AI learning robot, acts as their personal assistant.
For teachers, enduri is both a coaching and documentation tool. The Learner ID helps them understand each student and build meaningful relationships. The platform offers ready-made prompts, coaching templates, motivation tools, and clear progress overviews – supporting diverse learners without adding to workload. Progress is tracked and visualised, making it easy to personalise support and reduce admin.
