Education is going through a crucial moment in a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous context given the situation of the coronavirus pandemic. The accompaniment and ongoing training of teachers, with up-skilling and re-skilling needs, becomes a commitment of utmost importance to ensure the quality and relevance of teaching and learning processes.
Integral digital solution that enhances three pillars of teacher learning:
(1) LEARN TO LEARN - Synchronous face-to-face and virtual teacher training courses, courses open to the community, with free and open access, focused on teaching-learning strategies, enhancing digital tools and socio-emotional skills.
(2) LEARNING TO DO - Creation of own digital content - Training and tools are provided to develop high quality digital content. Self-assisted courses and Webinars that encourage the creation of innovative didactic sequences under their own authorship.
(3) LEARNING WITH OTHERS - (i) Mentoring: with follow-up and support to teachers in the planning and analysis of their classes. (ii)Communities of Practice: spaces for collaborative work among teachers, generating learning communities. (iii) Dissemination, promotion and revaluation of teachers' work: blog, elaboration of reference cases, media, among others.
Studies show that until 2019, 75% of teachers believed that digital content would replace books within a decade, that 81% of teachers with less than 10 years of experience believed in the effectiveness of technology-mediated education, and that new knowledge, skills, attitudes and values are being introduced more frequently in the curricula for a more complete education for the future. With this challenge, since 2018 we have focused on generating courses, conferences and workshops in Argentina. Since the Covid-19 crisis in 2020, Ticmas has strengthened a digital solution of continuous support to teachers that includes training in different tools, defining a strategy of accreditation of teacher training.
