Why did you create this innovation?
Over 15 years ago, a team of researchers at the University of Turku, Finland, embarked on a journey that led to a better way to teach and learn.The members of the Centre for Learning Analytics had observed many failed attempts at applying digital tools to education. A key finding was that available tools did not really help teachers with their core tasks of giving feedback and checking tests.
How does your innovation work in practice?
Eduten develops the technology in collaboration with University of Turku, Finland to spreads its benefits worldwide. Eduten offers an opportunity for children everywhere to reach their academic potential through a scalable and motivational digital learning path.
Eduten is based on Finnish pedadagogy. It's exercise library has been co-designed with thousands of Finnish teachers. It comes with ready-made weekly mathematics exercise programs for ages 6 to 15 available in English, Spanish, Swedish, Estonian, Lithuanian and Portuguese. Each weekly program includes hundreds of pedagogically high quality tasks for students to build and improve their skills. The content library includes more than 200,000 gamified and varied tasks for the students, and it in easy to use with any curriculum.
How has it been spreading?
It is used by 51% of Finnish schools and in 41 other countries and counting.

Eduten is easy to learn for any teacher, and our content library offers over 200,000 teacher-designed math tasks that fully cover weekly programs for grades 1 to 9. The exercises are compatible with any curriculum or book.
