Traditional education, still rooted in 19th-century methods, suppresses creativity—crucial for today's innovation era. Teachers need training in playful and embodied teaching to preserve children's creativity and accommodate diverse learning styles. Buzz Kidz provides multi disciplinary arts programmes and simple arts toolkit for teachers to enhance child development and educational outcomes.
Buzz Kidz has custom developed drama, dance, and singing programmes delivered in two key streams:
Education IN Art: Interactive Creative Arts programmes for children from birth to 13, delivered weekly, in-person in- and after-schools, via a franchise network.
Education THROUGH Art: Empowers teachers to use creative arts tools to enhance playful, embodied learning experiences.
The online platform, Buzz-in-a-Box, makes the Buzz Kidz programme (consisting of unique methodology, original learning material like music and the accredited curricula and tools) available and easily digestible to teachers and franchisees. Buzz-in-a-Box means any teacher, anywhere can use the Buzz Kidz programme!
Our NGO, The Buzz Foundation, also powered by Buzz-in-a-Box, makes our programme available to the least fortunate communities.
Our television show and podcast takes our unique child development programme to "the last mile."
We've buzzed with more than 300,000 children and at any given time, we work in at least 100 schools across South Africa.
We have, to date, established 7 independent franchises with the aim to double within a year. These franchisees are trained basic business skills and our programmes. They, in turn, employ teams. Buzz Kidz creates entrepreneurs (needed on the African continent) who create much needed employment opportunities in their communities. These employees deliver the Buzz Kidz child development programme, enhancing educational outcomes for thousands of children.
We have had 50K downloads of our podcast since inception and plan to, like Ubongo, roll our our television programme on a significant scale. Our programme is easily translatable into multiple languages.
