Art is a visual language and its role in activism is vital. Our images are created not as performative allyship, but as a way to bring attention to the importance of doing the work.
Anti-bias, anti-racist education involves deep and constant reflection. Our image serve as a visual reminder of the value of this work.
Our site is a collaborative effort made by and for art teachers. We are not experts, but among us we have decades of experience. We do not have all the answers. We are here to listen, learn, grow and lift each other up.
We believe in collaboration, intersectionality, a culturally responsive classroom environment, and amplifying BIPOC voices while building allies for progress.
We have been maintaining and expanding our website, social media, and Facebook groups. We have also been facilitating antiracist professional development and workshops for visual arts educators.
