With AC, not only is the content learned in a deep&memorable way, learners develop inquiry skills; they learn what is so often forgotten in science lectures and textbooks – how we know what we know.

About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

Too often the focus of education is on test scores. AC is driven by the aspiration of preparing all students for the rigors of post-secondary pursuits with an instructional focus on conceptual understanding rather than rote performance on tests. With its dynamic, interactive content appealing today’s digital native, test results are meant to be the byproduct, not the object, of instruction.

What does your innovation look like in practice?

With an initial emphasis on the concepts deemed most difficult to teach and with commitment to building depth of understanding, Adaptive Curriculum attends to the breadth of coverage demanded by the new state and national standards while maintaining the depth of concept development.

Today, Adaptive Curriculum, with its one-of-a-kind virtual experiments, simulations, guided discovery, concept development, and problem solving activities that not only keep students motivated but also help them achieve concept mastery; and with its easy-to-use teacher tools that let them organize students’ work with custom lesson plans and monitor their progress in real time, is the state-of-the-art instructional solution for middle and high school math and science.

How has it been spreading?

Adaptive Curriculum has been preferred by many educational institutions in North and South America, Europe, and Middle East. In the US alone, more than 100 school districts and more than 1,000 individual schools across 40 states have used Adaptive Curriculum since it was launched in 2007.

If I want to try it, what should I do?

Adaptive Curriculum offers in its website a 30-day Free-Trial to educational institutions and a 14-day Free-Trial to individuals or homeschoolers who would like to experience its state-of-the-art interactive content and easy-to-use management system first-hand.
