SheTechies is directly confronting the profound gender digital divide in Pakistan, a multi-layered problem exacerbated by geographical, socio-cultural, and economic barriers.
The real-world problem is that millions of young Pakistani girls, especially those in rural and low-income areas, are excluded from the burgeoning global tech economy due to:
Lack of Access and Affordability: Tech education is often expensive, physically distant, and reserved for boys or privileged classes.
Language and Literacy Barriers: Standard tech curricula often rely on English and high literacy, excluding girls who speak local languages or have lower foundational schooling.
Socio-cultural Hurdles: Prevailing norms discourage girls from pursuing technical fields, digital device ownership is restricted, and mobility is limited.
SheTechies solves this by offering an accessible, de-risked pathway to a professional tech career. Its local language and Sign Language curricula tackle the literacy and communication gaps head-on, democratizing learning. The zero-coding-skills to project incubation model creates a supported, linear journey. This unique approach provides an unfair advantage, transforming excluded girls into market-ready professionals, empowering them with economic independence and challenging deeply entrenched gender inequality.
SheTechies: An AI Ed-Tech Social Venture
SheTechies is a revolutionary, free digital tech club dedicated to empowering young girls aged 7 to 18 across Pakistan, with a strong focus on accessibility for rural areas and girls with disabilities.
This AI Ed-Tech social venture offers robust, self-paced curricula divided into Beginner, Junior, and Senior tracks. Girls move through four key milestones: mastering tech skills (including coding and AI learning), gaining Financial Literacy through the Canvas business model, driving social impact by developing UN 17 SDGs project prototypes, and finally entering the SheTechies Incubadora for mentorship and seed funding scholarships.
To ensure true inclusivity, the platform provides resources and curricula in multiple local Pakistani languages, alongside English and Urdu, and incorporates sign language. Launched initially as a website, SheTechies is designed to evolve into a Google Play Store AI application, leveraging Generative AI and Agentic AI features to create a truly personalized learning environment.
The founder, Eshaal Mustafa, personally hosts two live mentorship sessions per month to guide members through their journey of hands-on activities, ensuring they are prepared to become the next generation of female tech leaders.
SheTechies leverages a cutting-edge AI Ed-Tech model to deliver hyper-personalized learning. Core AI analyzes student performance to adapt the self-paced curriculum, providing real-time feedback, grading code, and ensuring accessibility through automated translation and sign language recognition. Generative AI is used for dynamic content creation, instantly generating project ideas for the UN SDGs, drafting business model components, and offering an intelligent coding/debugging assistant. Finally, Agentic AI acts as an autonomous digital tutor, proactively managing each girl's journey to goal completion—from identifying knowledge gaps to flagging students who need the founder's personalized live mentorship for the Incubadora projects.
It's under development right now.
