The Research & Educational Center (REC) is not only the scientific and educational center where children receive knowledge. The REC is also a large team of tutors who make the process of teaching children interesting and fascinating. They organize various events, excursions and contests. The REC teachers always help you to solve different tasks. And therefore, the REC is the place where you go with pleasure.

About the innovation

What is the Research & Educational Center (REC)?

One of the REC goals is to attract children at the school level to research, to create conditions for their personal and professional implementation.The formation and the development of the young generation skills to solve non-standard and constantly changing tasks, to think innovatively. During 15 years of its work the REC has a successful experience in methodological, scientific and organizational system work with children based on the implementation of modern educational programs in order to identify and develop talent in each child. This project contributes to the early career guidance of each child and the training of personnel for the innovation economy. The Research & Educational Center aims at promoting science and scientific knowledge. The REC is the platform where young scientists can discuss interesting topics.

The work of the Research & Educational Center is carried out in the following areas:
- training of students in economics, mathematics, biotechnology;
- distance learning;
- organization of competitions and excursions;
- interaction with universities;
- psychological and pedagogical support;
- lectures of leading scientists, workshops.

Implementation steps

The organization of subject competitions

In the organization of school competitions teachers should not use "dry" test tasks, but increase the quantity and quality of creative and original tasks. The organization of excursions to various enterprises

It can be used in your school:

1. You should choose the enterprise (take into accout production safety; compliance of the content of the excursion with the educational program; significance of the enterprise).

2. Scheduling (coordinate the dates and times of excursions with the management of the company).

3. Group preparation for the excursion (brief description of the enterprise; tell the children the rules of conduct and safety).

4. Guided Tour (full-time / correspondence form; visiting an enterprise / organization; virtual tour).

5. Final work (the participants fill in the questionnaire).

The use of learning problem technologies

Pupils, parents, students, teachers, invited experts, depending on the topic under discussion, can be participants of the Discussion Club. The main goal of the Club is to develop communication skills among the participants, to develop logical thinking and expand the students' outlook.

The organization of thematic weeks

For example during the Science Week we have organised the creative workshop "Modern Scientist" and the art workshop "The Image of the Scientist". In the framework of computer science classes, schoolchildren have prepared the drawings depicting scientists, made on a computer using Paint. The students were enthusiastic about the task. The most interesting works have been presented at the exhibition in the Research & Educational Center.

Using different forms of E-learning

The electronic journal "Young Economist" is a modern journal for young researchers devoted to science, modern technology and business. Young readers will learn a lot of new and interesting things about the complex world of economy, the latest achievements of science and technology!

In the Research & Educational Center in 2010 the Internet School was formed. Using distance forms of learning we prepare the students for the participation in conferences and competitions at various levels.
