We noted that the impact of an intervention in SA’s education system was often curtailed by the weak underlying quality of teaching staff. In particular, the local teaching profession is characterized by low academic entry points & fails to attract high caliber future education leaders. In short, we are motivated to make teaching an aspirational profession for young and innovative leaders.
Our application process is fully online and begins with an Eligibility Quiz that
helps us filter through the most eligible candidates to ensure we reach quality
applicants. When applicants complete the application, our system
scores each application, once again making the review process more seamless.
Our internationally acclaimed selection process helps identify high-potential
applicants with key competencies that we assess to ensure we select the best candidates to be part of our Fellowship.
These candidates, upon being onboarded onto the Fellowship are supported and
equipped through access to personal coaches, mentors & expert teachers, and structured communities of practice.
Upon qualification as teachers, we expose them to our Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) program which has been designed to further teaching competencies in our beneficiaries. They are supported & guided with the expertise of our Teacher Coaches who guide
the most critical years of our NQTs’ teaching careers.
