As we plan for the HundrED Innovation Summit from 6th to 8th November in Helsinki, we are eager to share a few more of our newly confirmed speakers! Across the summit, we aim to bring together the world's most inspiring innovators in education and share their expertise and experience through keynotes, workshops, and masterclasses.
This year, along with celebrating innovations we will be focusing on helping our innovators get access to the best possible people and resources they need to reach more children.
To inspire such systemic transformation, we will be joined by Li Andersson, Minister of Education in Finland, and Jan Vapaavuori, Mayor of Helsinki City, who both believe in the power of education. Jan in his recent sharings has asked cities across the globe to partner with educators and universities and work on solutions towards fascinating and important societal problems.
Additionally, we acknowledge that it is very hard to scale without funding support and so experts like John Goodwin, Chief Executive Officer of Lego Foundation, Irene Pritzker, President & CEO of IDP Foundation, and Maggie Mitchell, Executive Director of Qatar Foundation International will be joining us for this exclusive 3-day event.
Finally, an honourable mention to our host city, Helsinki, home to amazing dreamers like Miki Kuusi, Co-founder & CEO of Wolt and Linda Liukas, Creator & Best Selling Author of Hello Ruby who was recently invited to UNESCO’s High Level Reflection Group for Strategic Transformation to share their stories of scaling and impact.
Further, the HundrED Innovation Summit will continue to strengthen its promotion of youth engagement and leadership in educational conversations. For the first time, HundrED will be hosting the HundrED Youth Summit as part of the Helsinki Education Week, inspired by our lead changemaker Jordy Angel Coldwell, bringing together a small group of 10 HundrED Youth Ambassadors from 8 countries and 10 Helsinki Youth Council members to discuss education’s potential and how to be a part of its change together.
