Teachers face an overwhelming number of professional development resources, yet many struggle to find training that truly responds to their needs, context, and daily classroom challenges. Most existing platforms focus on efficiency or isolated skill-building, leaving the heart of teaching, pedagogical practice, underserved.
We created AprendoLab to bridge this gap. It's a collaborative, AI-powered platform that identifies teachers' needs and matches them with high-quality, relevant learning resources. Through personalized training paths and communities of practice, AprendoLab supports professional growth while adapting to each teacher's local context.
What makes our approach different is our AI-integrated, context-aware content management system. We work with a controlled AI scope, defining what the AI can and cannot do within each topic, and we set learning priorities for each country so recommendations align with local realities. And we measure what truly matters: how teachers grow, reflect, and transform their classroom practice, not just how often they log in.

The experience starts with self-reflection. Based on a teacher's responses and local context, AprendoLab's AI builds a personalized learning pathway with short, practical experiences they can complete at their own pace. Each pathway follows three stages grounded in effective teaching practice: Engage, In-Depth Learning, and Practical Reflection.
Inside the platform, teachers find micro-learning modules, curated resources from over 80 trusted educational organizations, interactive challenges, and downloadable materials they can apply in class the next day. Topics range from innovative pedagogy and digital skills to socio-emotional learning and the pedagogical use of AI.
For every resource, AI personalizes the experience in three layers: why it's relevant, practical tips, and concrete classroom examples. In minutes, teachers move from viewing to doing.
Beyond individual learning, AprendoLab connects teachers through communities of practice where they work on missions, short applied challenges that turn new ideas into real classroom action. Peers across Latin America share results, troubleshoot together, and build solutions collectively.
Accessible from mobile or computer, even with limited connectivity, AprendoLab fits professional learning into teachers' daily lives, making continuous development practical and flexible.
AprendoLab has been expanding across Latin America through regional outreach, strategic partnerships, and a growing ecosystem of content collaborators.
At the core of our spread is an ecosystem model where we crowdsource high-quality resources from more than 80 trusted educational organizations. Instead of producing content in isolation, we curate and co-create with partners already doing excellent work, amplifying their reach while giving teachers access to a richer, more diverse learning experience. This model allows us to scale faster, stay relevant to local contexts, and continuously refresh our content library with expertise from across the region.
We have implemented dissemination campaigns in Chile, Ecuador, and Mexico, engaging teachers and educational organizations to adopt the platform and integrate it into their professional learning practices. Each new partner strengthens the ecosystem, bringing in new perspectives, resources, and teacher communities.
Being selected as finalists of the WISE Awards 2025 has amplified AprendoLab internationally, increasing visibility, strengthening collaborations, and accelerating adoption across new educational communities.
This combination of grassroots teacher engagement, a crowdsourced content ecosystem, and international recognition is what allows AprendoLab to grow sustainably while staying grounded in what teachers actually need.
AprendoLab began during the pandemic as AprendoEnCasa, a hashtag and grassroots initiative to support teachers suddenly navigating remote learning alone. What started as a simple way to share resources quickly grew into a movement, reaching more than 1.8 million teachers across eight countries, with over 80 organizations donating content to make it possible.
Since then, we've reinvented the platform multiple times, always following those we serve. We practice radical listening, continuously going back to teachers to understand their realities, challenges, and aspirations. They tell us what they need: more relevant content, flexible learning pathways, and support that connects with their daily classroom challenges.
Based on their insights, we evolved from AprendoEnCasa into AprendoLab, an AI-powered, personalized learning ecosystem. Key additions include personalized learning pathways shaped by each teacher's context, a three-stage pedagogical model (Engage, In-Depth Learning, Practical Reflection), communities of practice with applied missions, and a growing ecosystem where trusted partners continue to donate and co-create content across the region.
We are not married to the solution, we are committed to solving the problem. That's why AprendoLab keeps evolving, because teachers evolve, their classrooms evolve, and our job is to support them, whatever form that takes.
