We aim to make personalised, high-quality education accessible to everyone—regardless of location, language, or background—by combining global tutoring, AI tools, and scalable hybrid learning solutions.

About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

Driven by my personal struggle learning the specialised musical form "Maqamat" without access to local tutors, I realised that traditional online platforms failed to provide deeply personalised education tailored to niche skills and languages. This inspired the creation of YouLearnt; a platform that removes geographic, linguistic, and subject-specific barriers.

YouLearnt was built on three core principles:

Personalization: Students can request custom subjects not pre-listed, and tutors can respond directly using the tutor-request feature.

Accessibility: Launching with support in over ten languages, the platform connects learners and tutors globally, overcoming communication hurdles.

Community & Flexibility: Combining live lessons with social features like messaging, trial sessions, flexible packages, and certificates promotes a dynamic learning environment.

YouLearnt was created to ensure that anyone, anywhere—whether learning a mainstream subject or a niche skill—can connect with qualified tutors in real time, leveraging AI and community to make education deeply personal and truly borderless.

What does your innovation look like in practice?

In reality, YouLearnt is a dynamic, user-friendly online ecosystem where learners and tutors interact seamlessly:

Learner Experience:

- Sign up in two minutes, specifying what they want to learn.
- Browse detailed tutor profiles including languages, bios, videos, schedules, rates, and reviews.
- Book a trial lesson, then continue with flexible hourly packages.
- Receive attendance-based certificates and personalised quizzes.
- Request new subjects if none exist, empowering student-driven curriculum expansion.

Tutor Experience:

- Create a profile featuring expertise, video intro, and hourly rate.
- Offer any subject, responding to student requests.
- Automate content generation with AI tools.
- Earn income with global reach and flexible scheduling.

Institution Use:
Institutions can instantly deploy hybrid learning—tracking attendance, recording live sessions, issuing certificates, and allocating group courses—all with no additional infrastructure, supporting lifelong learning pathways.

YouLearnt merges live tutoring, AI automation, social connection, and global accessibility into a single frictionless platform—making personal education scalable and adaptive.

How has it been spreading?

YouLearnt first gained traction in the UK after its launch in October 2024, as featured in local media like the Oldham Chronicle. It now supports more than ten languages, drawing users from diverse regions—particularly the UK and MENA.

Growth is driven by:

- Word-of-mouth and referrals, especially among niche or underrepresented learners.
- Media coverage, including social media platforms.
- Community engagement tools, such as YouLearnt blog.
- Participated in the International Education Fair in Tripoli, Libya.
- Institutional onboarding, offering plug-and-play hybrid education to learning organisations with no setup overhead.

These elements—combined with multilingual support, culturally relevant services, and responsive infrastructure—are fueling steady global growth and community formation.
