Building competence in core transferable skills like creativity, socio-emotional, critical thinking, communication and collaboration warrants consistent exposure, practice and targeted intervention. There is a lack of such sustainable and affordable opportunities in the mainstream educational ecosystem, especially for young learners (ages 6-12).
As a student, imagine if your school has their own digital magazine that is published every week that you can explore and engage in after school hours and be able to discuss and debate about the stories and activities with your friends (peers) at school the next day? What a joy! That's what our innovation in practice will look like. We want children to be able to explore and build skills by play-way in a consistent and sustainable manner.
As a school, imagine if you have a dedicated magazine that looks like it was made for your school, by your school. Yellow owl's magazine platform aims to seamlessly blend the school's learning goals and their branding needs and thus maximising their reach to their parent community and the society at large.
We are piloting in a couple of schools and are actively reaching out to private sector schools to partner with them. We plan to launch our MVP and gain traction by the start of the academic year 2024-25.
