The innovation was created to cultivate empathy and promote friendship, cooperation, and the acceptance of diversity among students. Our goal was to familiarize students with Artificial Intelligence as a tool to enhance imagination and express thoughts and feelings through visual art and music. By participating in the 'Positive Energy and Friendship Week', we aimed to transform the classroom into a bright, inclusive team where every child's uniqueness is highlighted.
In practice, students express their feelings through drawings which are then digitally 'read' and transformed into original lyrics and melodies using innovative AI tools. All the material—drawings, lyrics, and audio files—is integrated into the BookCreator platform to create a multimedia digital book. The project includes experiential discussions about peace and positive energy, followed by the presentation of the interactive e-book to the school community and parents.
The project has already gained significant local and national recognition. It was originally developed as part of the 'Positive Energy and Friendship Week' organized by the Directorate of Primary Education of Eastern Thessaloniki and will be featured in their upcoming dedicated repository for good practices. Furthermore, the project is currently a candidate in the National Sustainable Development Awards (Bravo Schools 2026). It is also shared through our school's official blog, where students act as ambassadors, sharing the digital BookCreator link with their families and the community. You can read the detailed presentation of our action here: https://blogs.sch.gr/94dimthess/2026/03/30/otan-i-filia-apokta-foni/
We integrated Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to give 'voice' to the children's traditional drawings, transforming static art into a multimedia experience with original lyrics and music. By using the BookCreator platform, we evolved a classroom activity into a professional-grade interactive e-book that can be easily shared and accessed digitally by the entire community.
We enhanced the project by aligning it with Global Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 4, 10, 16) and applying for the National Sustainable Development Awards (Bravo Schools 2026). We also integrated AI tools to transform static art into a multimedia experience.
Note on Language: The project was originally developed in Greek to ensure authentic expression for the students. For this international presentation, the text and interface have been translated into English, while the original songs created by the children remain in Greek to preserve their unique artistic voice and the AI-generated melodies.

To implement this innovation, follow these steps:
1. Experiential Discussion: Begin with an open classroom dialogue about friendship, empathy, and peace.
2. Artistic Creation: Have students create drawings expressing their feelings using simple materials like markers or colored pencils.
3. AI Integration: Scan the drawings and use AI tools to generate original lyrics and music based on the visual messages and themes of each artwork.
4. Digital Synthesis: Use a platform like BookCreator to combine the drawings, lyrics, and audio files into an interactive multimedia e-book.
5. Sharing: Present the final digital book to the class and the school community to celebrate the students' unique voices.
