About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

To create a new teaching methodology that would meet sustainability

What does your innovation look like in practice?

One year after implementation, the results exceeded expectations: students demonstrated the ability to understand and create solutions to problems using resources that were already available, but were not used due to mere ignorance of the existence of a given problem and its possible solutions, which were often simple.

How has it been spreading?

We had problems during the COVID-19 pandemic, but the methodology is now being adopted by a large number of institutions in the municipality.

If I want to try it, what should I do?

Seek to understand a problem in your region, create a group and start implementing the study of Design Thinking and its application to solve the problem. The use of UX design techniques is valid. Teaching technologies using simple and easy-to-find materials and how the creation of this product can impact society

Implementation steps

Setting the goals
1. Explain the process to instructors
2. Identification of a problem that can be solved with the use of technology
3. Lesson planning: materials to be used.
4. Explain to students the objectives of implementing this methodology and what is expected of them.
5. Carrying out projects always linked to a problem situation.
6. Discuss what was done and how it could be improved. Make the student think critically.
