1. To transform teachers mindset toward using respectful language with their students.
2. To build responsive classroom approach that offers teacher with keys to effective powerful language and strategies.
This project by Sarah Al-Mallah and Reem Azzam, aimed to develop ways to encourage the use of positive language in the classroom, giving praise and feedback to students’ responses, encourage them to learn from their mistakes, deal with negative behavior, and reinforce positive behavior. This project was carried out through a set of activities such as preparing and distrusting cards that included quotes and ideas for positive responses to various behaviors and attitudes of the students, several workshops were conducted in schools for teachers to spread the power of positive language to establish an effective communication between teachers and students. They were not satisfied with that, but they launched a page on the social networking program Instagram to expand the scope of the project and reach the largest possible number of teachers and parents
The project was approved by school admin and now the materials are available in school labriray for teachers and staff to use.
A soft copy was also made and given to teachers.
The two teacher gave a workshop for a group of new teachers to spread the word as well.
Surveys were made the measure the visibility of the project by the end of the year and was compared with the one answered by students at the begnning of the year. The answers were fullfilling and impowering.
