The scale and diversity of the Indian education ecosystem is daunting - 4.5 million education leaders are responsible for improving the quality of education in 1.5 million schools catering to 250 million children. To bring sustainable change, it is essential to enable these education leaders. However, there exist limited needs-based learning and capacity building opportunities for them.
ShikshaLokam plays three roles. As a designer, we co-create programs and technology solutions by actively evaluating what might work at scale. This includes tools for observation, analysis, learning and improvement projects - which are all enabled on national education infrastructure DIKSHA and are being used by 450000 leaders. They have made 707715 observations and undertaken 26294 improvement projects to enhance learning environment for the students.
As an orchestrator, we co-create improvement and leadership development programs with different state governments, national education institutions and other organisations to impact 200000 schools across 10 states.
As an evangeliser, we have created the only ecosystem in the country with about 138 partners and engage in continuous dialogues with key actors and influencers at spaces like Cerebration and InvokED - around the importance of leadership in education and on societal thinking values to solve education leadership challenges.
There are 450000 leaders who are active users of ShikshaLokam solutions in 200000 schools across 10 states who we impact through our network of 138 partners. We have been able to put the spotlight on education leadership and build an understanding of societal platform values to solve leadership challenges at spaces like InvokED and Cerebration attended by about 200 participants leading to continued partnership and prototype designs.
In the next 3 years, we will
1. scale the solutions for a country wide adoption with 4.5 million leaders in collaboration with the Ministry
2. Expand the network with 10x partners, globally
3. Disseminate the resources as public goods for reuse globally
4. Continue to evangelise the leadership narrative in other countries with their respective governments
We work with partners on various aspects which includes building and reusing technology, curating impactful assets and research studies and designing programs at scale.
