What does your innovation look like in practice?

The SchoolWeavers is a digital tool that supports school leaders around the globe to analyze, rethink and weave their school-community ecosystem to enhance caring relationships, sense of belonging, personalized learning and wellbeing opportunities. The tool is free to use and offers school leaders the opportunity to build the internal ecosystem and engage with all community actors in a collective diagnosis and growth of trusted and meaningful relationships within school members -students, teachers, families, staff and leaders-, and between school and the wider neighborhood and city -as community professionals from museums, sports facilities, parks, universities and so on-. The tool supports leadership teams to gather data from all school members using tested measures, so as an advanced analysis to move from data into action and development of thriving ecosystems. The tool is already suporting school leaders to in 15 countries to rethink their learning and flourishing environments.

How has it been spreading?

At the moment, around 100 schools and 18 universities and research organizations from 15 countries in the 5 continents are using the tool and learning together to rethink and regenerate schools as learning and wellbeing weavers. Together with the whole community, in the last 2 years we have completed the complete validation of measures and processes in 7 countries: Colombia, USA, Spain, Switzerland, South Africa, Ghana & Taiwan. Also, we developed a dashboard where school leaders are able to visualize data around the health and potential of the learning and wellbeing. At the moment, and also along with the community, we are designing and coding the journey from advanced analysis to practice and implementation, developing the 'SchoolWeavers Community' for inspirational pracices exchange.
