Ripyl® was created as an innovative response to fill the educational gaps observed by our Founder, who saw a need for more practical problem-solving and creativity in his daughters' schooling. Using commerce, business studies and accounting, Ripyl® integrates real-world challenges into modules for teaching commerce, aiming to revitalise the curriculum with active, hands-on learning.
Ripyl® originally started as a face-to-face programme to help students aged 5-13 develop entrepreneurial skills. The programme focused on business, commerce, accounting, finance and economics modules. During the pilot phase, it became clear that social sciences teachers needed access to these modules to upskill their students and provide much-needed business education. As a result, Ripyl® pivoted to a SaaS product and is now available online as a community that offers ready-to-use, real-world modules aligned with business, commerce, accounting, and economics curriculums. Teachers can easily search for a theme or module number that aligns with their curriculum, and they will be presented with relevant modules, saving them time and effort in planning. This innovative platform is revolutionising the way business studies are taught and helping students learn relevant business concepts.
The Ripyl® program is gaining momentum as school teachers across New Zealand engage with the Ripyl® team to implement its innovative approach to education. With its focus on real-world challenges and practical problem-solving, Ripyl® has garnered recognition, winning a national award for Best Youth Program in New Zealand. This accolade underscores Ripyl's® effectiveness in reinvigorating student engagement and fostering essential entrepreneurial skills for future success. As more schools adopt the Ripyl® program, its impact spreads, reshaping the educational landscape and empowering students to thrive in an ever-changing world.
Ripyl’s® MVP has been developed. It’s a customised chatbot featuring a specialised, curated GPT that integrates our educational modules. Although the product trials aren't available yet, as we're finalising development for cloud deployment, we welcome those who are interested to follow our progress and stay tuned for the upcoming launch.
