about the innovation

Reading Start is an early children’s reading program

What we do?

Reading Start is an early children’s reading program for children aged 0-6 in Shenzhen, China. In this program, we advocate the importance of early children's reading through providing systematic and effective guidance to families.

We're trying to enhance families' awareness and skills of parent-child reading by distributing reading backpacks to families aged 0-6 years old, training reading promoters and carrying out reading activities in the community.

Why we do it?

Parents generally lack of attention to childre's early reading in china.

Parents have biases and misunderstandings in early reading

Lack of professional and effective early reading guidance

Early Children’s Reading Promoter Training Course
Continue to train reading promoters as community "seed" reading instructors by providing professional training. The training course combines the learning of theories and practical reading activities in the communities and taught by excellent experts in the field of early children’s readingThe length of the training course is one and a half years. Students attend the training once every month.
