About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

Students' mental wellbeing has emerged as a significant priority for education, with increasing numbers of students experiencing family breakdown, anxiety, depression, oppositional disorders & attention difficulties. The research identifying schools as key sites for intervention. Deficit discourses have gradually been displaced by strengths-based understandings and an emphasis on flourishing.

What does your innovation look like in practice?

We have designed a sequenced curriculum for each year group from Year 7 (UK curriculum, 11yo) to Year 11 containing 18 lessons per year group delivered via a learning platform. The lessons include audio instructions, slides, open-ended questions, polls, quizzes, VR, flip grid, and videos. The lessons can be delivered via Microsoft Teams, Zoom, student-paced or in classroom by the teacher. The lessons are well-researched and provide an opportunity for teachers to create a safe environment for their students to flourish. We use positive psychology and existential psychology in our curriculum design as well as our teacher training.

How has it been spreading?

We have now reached schools in UAE, Thailand, Nigeria, Romania and Cyprus.

If I want to try it, what should I do?
