Online PD Initiative

I created the innovation with a strong purpose to support professional development of teachers in schools in Pakistan through online PD courses. Have been a certified trainer to teach various course to enhance teachers skills and abilities while working in different capacities in a very prestigious institution of our country like the Beaconhouse School System. I observed teachers who were part of trainings their classrooms were vibrant, interactive and demonstrated effective learning taking place. Where as teachers who were isolated and did not participate in any training their classroom practices appeared dull and boring. Also it was difficult and challenging for teachers to skip a day at school and attend a whole day training session away from their schools and homes. Teachers had to travel from different cities to attend the face to face training sessions at the regional office. But they were always happy to share a very positive feedback at the end of the training sessions. Over these years I enhanced my skills and abilities through both face to face and online training sessions. From Google to ISTE it has been a great learning journey. The courses were self paced, instructor led , interactive and engaging. I could complete the courses sitting in a comfortable place with a cup of coffee in my home. And I wanted to provide teachers with the same ease, comfort and flexibility. To be able to enhance their skills while being employed, so I created an online platform for PD.
