Trafficking is a serious social issue that affects every fifth Indian today, as there are currently over 200 million adolescents in India. Awareness leads to prevention, which is key to stopping this issue, but it has already caused a major setback for the entire generation. Tragically, everyday more than 200 children and 680 women go missing in India.
Awareness on Prevention of Sex Abuse and Exploitation has never been streamlined as a systematic school program and there is consensus on the need for such a program. The curriculum is designed to address both online/offline safety concerns of adolescents We have followed a design thinking approach, co-designing the curriculum and formats with learners.The program is completely audio-visual, with little room for interpretation by facilitator. Focus on emotional & physical well-being of adolescents, Addresses Cyber Safety of adolescents. Multi-platform dissemination - Online, Offline and Chatbot enabled WhatsApp. Can be localized in any language.
MASSp incorporates pre-module & post-module and activity-based questionnaires to assess changes in behaviour among adolescents. The questionnaires based on psychometric assessments, have been designed by psychologists from Mind & Me: Mental Health Services.
The goal of our awareness program is to reach and empower 253 million adolescent girls in India and 2 million vulnerable women and girls from Sundarbans. Through our efforts, we have already reached 1,75,000 students with our school awareness program, trained 200 women with the skills they need to succeed, and empowered 155 Swadhikar Youths across 10 villages.
