MarkSharks was created to provide more a hands-on, interactive experience for learning maths and science. Our mission is to provide students with an opportunity to move away from traditional rote learning and textbook memorization towards more active and experiential learning through technology.
There is ample research that students are more engaged in their own learning when they are actively playing. MarkSharks provides a 360 learning experience for students. Each chapter is broken up into short videos, hands-on interactives, and a variety of guided practice questions. Students get opportunities in every chapter to play with concepts in an active method where they are engaged with their device.
MarkSharks can also be used in structured school settings and has a variety of features that benefit educators and school leaders. A comprehensive class management platform allows educators to conduct live classes, manage schedules, create and grade assessments, and assign homework.
Originally meant as a self learning product, in the past year or two, MarkSharks has spread into schools as a supplemental tool for educators. While individual students can use our product as a self learning tool, our goal is to continue expanding our product into schools and other educational settings to support educators with hands-on technology.
