When I was working at a primary school I developed a Skillslab. A place where all the children learned the 21st century skills with the help of technology. After five years I got the chance to design a similar thing at the Thomas More University. Now I’m a teacher trainer and use the innovationlab to teach future primary school teacher about technology and digital skills in a unique classroom.
It’s a classroom in our university, with different learning areas: a campfire, watering hole, sandpit, cave, play area and mountain top.
At the moment there are 20 primary schools with a Skillslab or innovationlab. There are 3 other teacher trainer universities with a similar kind of innovationlab.
