I taught for nearly 2 decades. Personal development became a huge passion of mine. Instead of trying to change the children I kept finding ways to better myself and change my own perspective so that I could embrace them just as they were. I helped so many children who had been put into boxes to believe in themselves and because of this they achieved so much more. I saw a need for this in Education
I have a program which has been accredited by SACE (The South African Department of Educators). It involves 2 hours a week of training over a period of 4 weeks, so 8 hours spread out over a month. The secret sauce lies in 'living the work', teachers put into practise what they learn and they see radical changes in two things. 1. In the way they feel. 2. In the way they perceive the children. We have a fine oiled machine when it comes to supporting the teachers through their journey and our motto is, 'it works if you work it!' Teachers are trodden down and depleted, they have lost their passion for teaching. This is their life line, before they all leave teaching. We pride ourselves on lasting change and sustainability. Schools have noticed a increase in staff morale, less staff turnover, less absenteeism, more laughter in the staffroom and less conflict between staff members and parents.
