Our goal is to create a global platform for learning exchange that promotes the sharing of best practices and ideas among educators worldwide. We believe that our innovation can contribute to a more equitable and effective education system that benefits learners and teachers alike.

About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

GCA was created to address challenges faced by early childhood teachers such as recruitment discrimination, lack of job preparation, inadequate access to skill-based learning, competition between training providers, and a lack of effective partnerships. We provide affordable training and credentialing opportunities to incentivize skill-building, helping teachers better serve children.

What does your innovation look like in practice?

The GCA platform offers adult learners access to quality learning programs, vocational certificates, diplomas, and accredited credentials from top training institutes worldwide. With over 200 online programs available in multiple languages, our range includes free mini-courses with certificates, as well as master courses, vocational certificates, and diploma programs at affordable prices. Content is created by vetted institutes, colleges, NGOs, and universities. In a survey of 2,000 teachers, 100% would recommend GCA, with 98% appreciating content variety and 99% finding it helpful for professional development. GCA involves teachers in the platform's development through feedback loops and material contribution opportunities, serving as a gateway for 57% of first-time entrants to the teaching profession.

How has it been spreading?

GCA is rapidly growing through partnerships with local channel partners worldwide. In the last 1-2 years, GCA has collaborated with local training providers to enroll over 2,000 teachers. GCA plans to scale its platform by continuing to partner with local channel partners through the use of whitelabeling. These partnerships enable GCA to adapt the platform to meet local regulatory requirements and demand for professional development. GCA works closely with each local training provider to tailor the platform to meet their specific needs, providing customization options such as changes to course catalogs, supplemental material, branding, and support for local currency. GCA is currently in talks with several potential channel partners worldwide to further expand its reach and impact.
