About the innovation

Why did you create this innovation?

This initiative was born from the creative mind of a 9-year-old boy, Nicolás Alavconi (co-founder), under the concept of being the first university for boys and girls where they have the possibility of exploring technology, learning about the future, that everyone can do what they like and can even teach and share experiences with other children their age. Make online education possible.

What does your innovation look like in practice?

GeniU works focused on creativity and innovation, technology, empowerment and socio-emotional relationships in boys and girls. We have various modular programs that are developed on our online platform where children gain experience and build a career in any of these areas: digital content creation, programming, music production, illustration and animation, magic and creative writing. The classes are live taught by creative guides who are leaders in their areas, with support videos (microlearning) and a personalized and gamified monitoring system. Here, children are rewarded for each achievement, attempt, or even error, encouraging their ideas to take them to action under our Zero Gravity methodology. We also apply a principle of collaborative economy, where we add disruptive teachers who can generate content and programs to help them recover from the Covid impact and have a platform to offer their courses and classes.

How has it been spreading?

GeniU has been operating for 4 months and has managed to carry out 10 online bootcamps in various areas: DJ, Youtubers, illustration and art, among others; with more than 10 creative guides reaching more than 120 families. In this period, more than 360 projects and ideas have been carried out where new content, YouTube channels, illustrated characters, stories, animations and comics have been created by boys and girls between 8 and 14 years old from different parts of the world: United States, Chile, Peru, Bolivia and other countries.
GeniU is projected to be the largest and most recognized online learning platform for Spanish-speaking boys and girls. Every year our goal is to train 100,000 children to enhance their creative talent, optimize the use of technology and bring each idea to rea

If I want to try it, what should I do?
