The main goal of Fútbol Más since its creation, is to promote happiness and resilience throughout the most vulnerable schools and communities in Chile. The need for stronger, more connected and inspired communities and their children is combined with their passion for soccer. Through sport it is possible to develop social and emotional abilities, enhance positive behavior and encourage happiness.
We implement different programs depending on the needs of the community: Vulnerable neighborhoods (resilience development in girls and boys); Schools (promotion of healthy coexistence and teacher training), Humanitarian Crisis and Emergencies (resignification of the trauma caused by rights violation or in natural catastrophes contexts); Campaigns & Social Experiments; and Transfer & Technology (online and face-to-face methodologies for training sports facilitators for development). The total number of beneficiaries of these programs is around 26,000.
Currently through Transfer & Technology we're developing a videogame on the Nivelat platform that gamifies the experience of training for all the teachers of the Schools, Neighborhoods and Humanitarian Crisis programs: we teach the Fútbol Más methodology through an interactive and personalized game, revisiting key concepts and allowing the follow-up of every user, and to show them in real time the correct answer in every step of the way.
In 2008, Fútbol Más started in five communities and 400 children in Chile. Through alliances with private and public entities, more and more programs were implemented in Chile over the years. Currently we're present in 9 regions in Chile, and 8 other countries: Mexico, Ecuador, France, Spain, Dominican Republic, Paraguay, Haiti and Kenya.
Due to its results, Departments of Education and Social Development in each country have been interested in escalate these programs.
And this growth has been also supported by the main actors in social-emotional development and sports. Some of the acknowledgments Fútbol Más has received are: Best CSR Initiative (WDS Industry Awards, 2018), Beyond Sport Awards (2018), Success Case in Sport for Development (UNICEF, 2019) and the FIFA Diversity Award (2019).
If you'd like to implement one of the Fútbol Más programs, please contact us so we can learn more about the context of your community and your country.
Thanks to our Transfer & Technology program and its Nivelat platform we're able to expand quickly and train the trainers in your community. If you want to know more about our virtual programs and videos (due to the COVID crisis), please contact us.
